Adams Home Inspection Staff

Newcomer’s Inspection Services was formed in 1994 by Jim Naylor, a long time resident of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Jim was very active in the local chapter of ASHI, serving on the Board of Directors and even a term as president.

In 2003, Randy Adams purchased Newcomer’s when Jim prepared to retire.

The first two years of Randy’s ownership were much like an apprenticeship. Randy spent the first six months following Jim on inspections and soaking up his knowledge. For the next six months and until retirement, Jim would follow Randy and then critique his reports upon completion. Jim was a tremendous mentor to Randy.

Before becoming an inspector, Randy spent 20 years doing light construction and also working in sales positions in corporate America. When he bought Newcomer’s Inspection Services he had the vision of how to treat customers properly.  At the beginning of 2011, with the start of a new marketing campaign, Randy dropped the Newcomer’s name and went to the parent company of Adams Home Inspection (AHI).  At AHI, we treat every house as though we were inspecting it to live in ourselves. We inspect the house for your “peace of mind.”

Randy was the local ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) chapter 2011-2012 immediate past president, 2010-2011 president, past treasurer and past membership coordinator. Randy received his home inspection training from the American Home Inspectors Institute. Randy thoroughly enjoys meeting people everyday and is anxious to do your home inspection.

Andrew Adams joined AHI in September of 2014, coming to the company after spending 4 years in the United States Marine Corps.  Andrew first did on the job training with owner and senior inspector Randy.  He began inspecting houses on his own in the Spring of 2015 and is anxious to inspect your prospective new home.
